Job Requirements

• 3–6 years of overall hands-on backend development experience.

• Ideally, 2–3 years of hands-on experience developing backend services using GoLang.

• Strong understanding of backend architecture, data structures, algorithms and software engineering fundamentals.

• Proficiency in GoLang, including familiarity with its concurrency model, goroutines and channels.

• Experience with RDBMS databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL.

• Familiarity with NoSQL databases such as Redis.

• Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and third-party system integrations.

• Hands-on experience with caching technologies such as Redis.

• Good understanding of CI/CD processes and tools such as Jenkins.

• Practical experience using AI-powered coding assistants such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Tabnine or similar tools.

• Strong analytical, debugging and problem-solving skills.

• Good verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to work independently, take ownership and collaborate effectively within a team.

  
  

  What you’ll do

  
  

  • Design, build and own backend services and APIs in Go: REST/gRPC contracts, data models, background workers and schedulers.

  • Write concurrent code that holds up under load: goroutines and channels, context propagation, bounded worker pools, timeouts, race-free shared state.

  • Integrate with third-party and internal services safely: retries with backoff, idempotency, circuit breaking, webhook handling.

  • Own the data layer for your services: schema design, indexing, transactions and query tuning on MySQL; caching and locking with Redis.

  • Own production: dashboards, alerts, structured logs, on-call rotation, and root-causing incidents across Go, MySQL/Aurora, Redis and ECS.

  • Raise the bar on testing: table-driven unit tests, go test -race, integration tests, benchmarks where performance matters.

  • Review code, write short design docs, and mentor junior engineers on Go idioms and backend fundamentals.
